The Chancel Choir at Holy Trinity Anglican Church is a volunteer, non-auditioned choir and sings at the traditional music 10:30 AM services on the first, second and last Sunday of the month. The choir leads the congregation in the singing of hymns and liturgical music, as well as singing the psalms and canticles to traditional Anglican chant, and provides anthems and motets during communion.
The choir also sings special services throughout the year, include regular evensongs, a traditional Advent Lessons and Carols service, as well as special Eucharist services on designated high-feast days throughout the church year.
Recently, the choir has combined forces with Trinity Lutheran Evangelical church, a sister parish just blocks away in Old Strathcona, to worship together in the singing of Evensong and Holden Evening Prayer, as well as a combined morning service on Trinity Sunday.
The choir meets regularly on Thursday evenings for rehearsals from 7:15 until 9 PM, and at 9:30 AM on Sunday mornings before the 10:30 AM service.
If you would like to know more information about the choir, or wish to join, please contact the Director of Music.
