The purpose of this discussion group is to discuss some fundamental concepts in biblical history and in church traditions with an eye to exploring their implications, especially in light of contemporary problems, priorities, and events. Marian Allen will introduce the first three topics for discussion and from there the group will choose whatever topics interest them. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be provided.
The first three topics for the group are: "Following the Law: A Matter of Life and Death", "Substitutionary Atonement: How should we think about the doctrine that Jesus died for our sins and for the sin of the world?", and "Apostolic Succession". Additional topics will be determined after this.
Begins Saturday, Sept. 17 at 10:00AM in the meeting area by the Church offices.
