Stay after the concert for a reception with the performers! On the day of the first official performance of Vaughan Williams’ music by the Vaughan Quartet we have several reasons to celebrate: Valentines day is just around the corner and on the same week we will complete our fourth year as a quartet. Dress up in the style of the early 20th century, join us for the cake and toast with us!

The Vaughan String Quartet has recently been awarded with the Cultural Diversity Grant by the Edmonton Arts Council for a CD recording project. During the spring of 2017 we will record Brazilian and Italian musics for string quartet, including two contemporary works commissioned by the Vaughan String Quartet.

A celebration will take place on Monday February 13th at the Needle Vinyl Tavern (10524 Jasper Avenue) to acknowledge all the recipients of the Cultural Diversity Grant and the Edmonton Artists’ Trust Fund award. The evening will include a special screening of two short films by Jason Gondziola to highlight award and grant recipients. Join the arts community at this celebratory event over drinks (cash bar), light refreshments and entertainment.
