Holy Trinity Anglican Church
Don’t be shy. The name of the game is “Romanticism” and all you have to do to win is take your seat while we play some lush and beautiful music. We’ll start will a piece by a brilliant student of Antonin Dvorak, Erwin Schulhoff, whose life and work was tragically cut short. Then we’ll bring you a lovely trio for flute, bassoon, and piano by the famous opera composer Gaetano Donizetti. Advanced players can listen to a world-premiere by composer Ken Read and then for the bonus round; a stunning Quintet by Claude Debussey’s close friend, Andre Caplet. In this game, everyone’s a winner!
Tickets available at the door or at TIX on the Square.
$20 for adults, $15 for students/seniors.

Over the past nine years WindRose Trio has self-produced recitals featuring the most demanding music in the repertoire. Their concert repertoire includes works by Martinu, Canteloube, Francaix, and Villa-Lobos. The music is often complex and requires months of preparation.
Our playing has inspired many local composers to write new works for us. We have performed works Joseph Lai, Roger Deegan, and John McPherson and are preparing to premiere works by Alissa Cheung, Thom Golub, and Charles Stolte in our 2012/13 season.
Our CD “Path of Contact” was recorded in 2008 with support from the AFA and received a Western Canadian Music Award for Best Classical Recording. It features music by Villa-Lobos, Peter Schikele, Violet Archer, and Roger Deegan and continues to receive radio air-play.
Past performance highlights include the Roger Deegan Tribute Concert (2006), Music at Convocation Hall (2008), Arts on the Ave Bloomin’ Garden Show (2008), Kaleido Fest (2008, 2010), and Deep Freeze Fest (2009), Music with the Moravians (2009), and the Tonus Vivus 25th Anniversary Gala (2010), the St Albert Chamber Music Series (2011), and the University of Alberta Faculty Recital Series (2011).
