Partnering w/ Edmonton Young Voices

As we move towards the fabulous Fringe performances that we have coming up, I would like to share with you some good news regarding a growing relationship between Holy Trinity and Edmonton Young Voices (EYV).  After meeting with their Artistic Director Josie Burgess and our Music Director Dr. John Brough earlier this summer, we decided to continue to explore ways that we could work more closely.  To that end, we have four new areas of collaboration that I’m excited to share with you.  1) Edmonton Young Voices will provide special music for a Christmas and an Easter Service at Holy Trinity.  2) Together we will organize a volunteer children’s choir who will sing an offertory or other special music piece in our Sunday worship approximately once per month.  3) Dr. John Brough will work with the teen members of Edmonton Young Voices who are interested in singing sacred music and inviting them into our choir.  4) Any children who are members of Holy Trinity who join Edmonton Young Voices will receive a 5% reduction in their fees.

I look forward to this and others ways that we can interact with people and groups in our neighborhood.  Have an enjoyable August and a great Fringe.

EYV offers 3 outstanding choral experiences for children and youth:

JUNIOR CHOIR – for singers in grades K-3

CHILDREN’S CHOIR – for singers in grades 4-9

CHAMBER CHOIR  – for singers in grades 6-9

ALL Rehearsal are held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Old Strathcona.
