Special Ceremonies

Ceremonies are an important part of the ministry of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. Such ceremonies may include celebratory events such as marriage, baptism, and confirmation, or may include more mournful events such as funerals. All of these services are an important part of how we worship and, as such, are scheduled a bit differently than other events due to the clergy involvement and religious significance of such events. Below is a listing and description of the ceremonies that can be scheduled at Holy Trinity. If you would like to schedule a ceremony at Holy Trinity, please contact the Parish Administrator.

Baptism: The liturgy of baptism, in which God acts among us to adopt us as children, is a fresh spring of new birth. Through this liturgy, as we bring new Christians into the church, we restore the life of the church and we are formed anew, as images of Christ, in our royal priesthood and in our service to the poor and needy. For more information about the significance of baptism, please click Baptism. To schedule a baptism or to receive more information, please contact the Parish Administrator.

Confirmation: Confirmation is a special church service in which a person confirms the promises that were made when they were baptized. If you were baptized as an infant or young child, your parents and godparents made these promises on your behalf. As a young person or adult, you may be ready to affirm these promises for yourself, and commit your life to following Jesus Christ. At a Confirmation service, you make these promises for yourself. Marriage: The marriage ceremony is the religious event whereby two individuals are united as partners in a personal relationship. This religious ceremony also results in a legal union between these individuals that is recognized by the government as well as by the church. Funerals: Funeral preparation can be challenging for everyone involved but our clergy are available for support throughout this difficult process. To schedule a funeral or to receive more information, please contact the Rector.
