Virginie Gagné, violin

virginie_gagneVirginie Gagné won prizes at the Montréal Symphony Orchestra Competition, the Canadian Music Competition, and the Canada New Music Competition and participated in the Music Academy of the West in California, and the Bad Leonfelden International Summer Academy in Austria.Virginie Gagné is Assistant Concertmaster of the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Enterprise String Quartet and the Alberta Baroque Ensemble. A native of Montréal, Virginie Gagné studied at the Montréal Conservatory and received her Master’s of Music at Rice University in Houston, Texas.

As part of the New York String Ensemble Seminar, Virginie Gagné made her Carnegie Hall orchestra debut under Jamie Laredo and was first violinist with the Honolulu Symphony Orchestra.

Sarah Ho, piano

sara_hoSarah Ho studied at Indiana University with Menahem Pressler and Yale University with Claude Frank. Ms. Ho received the Sir James Lougheed Award of Distinction and was First Prize winner of the Canadian Music Competition, the Shean Competition, the Society of American Musicians Competition in Chicago, and the Chiang-Wen Yeh International Piano Competition in Washington, D.C.One of Canada’s leading pianists, Sarah Ho has performed throughout Canada, the U.S. and Europe as well as being concerto soloist with the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra, the National Arts Centre Orchestra, and the Kitchener-Waterloo Chamber Orchestra.

Sarah Ho teaches at MacEwan University, Alberta College Conservatory of Music, is a founding board member of the Edmonton Recital Society, and has two sons, Markus and Sebastian.
