Do you believe children should eat?

Do you believe that at-risk children that seek out the safety of the Youth Emergency Shelter (YESS) should eat nutritious meals?If you do, then perhaps consider bringing in a food donation as part of your offering back to God. Holy Trinity has a history of providing food and supplies to help YESS provide basic necessities for young people who find themselves on the streets with little or no hope. Please consider bringing a non-perishable food item that will be collected during the offertory or check out the list of other items that would be appreciated that is posted at the back of the church.
I am proud that this Church understands that 20% of the world’s children will not reach their fifth birthday, that 50% of these same children suffer from malnourishment, and realizes that we can dramatically reduce these realities. Many resources are available for children in Alberta under 16 and for adults 18 and over. The problem is that few are available for youth 16-18. Shouldn’t they have dignity and a chance too?
“When did we see You hungry ……” It is amazing what one person can do to save the life of one child.
