What is Messy Church?
Messy Church is a movement out of the UK that aims at providing a creative space for people of all ages to explore faith together. It is particularly geared to those among us who have some level of discomfort with traditional “churchiness.” The aim of Messy Church is to get to the heart of the gospel through story telling, crafts, and games. It is lively, it is messy, and it is always a good time.
Why should you come?
It’s fun! And, as it says on the Messy Church website” “[Messy Church] reflects a God of joy who wants his people to have life in all its fullness.” So,whether you are a seasoned church go-er or you’ve never set foot in a church building you might just learn something at Messy Church. Through hands-on activities that explore Bible stories, the chance to reflect the God of creativity in our community, and to give people a chance to play together, we will come together to get to know this God of ours a little better.
