Singing the Unsung: Exciting Thur. AM Discussion Group
Join us beginning on September 13th on Thursday mornings following the 10 AM “Saints Eucharist” for coffee and fellowship and an exciting DVD-based study with the delightful John Bell. The Rev. John Bell is an ordained minister in the Church of Scotland and a world-reknowned composer and theologian. He has produced many collections of original hymns, songs and liturgies through Wild Goos Resource Group, including two collections of songs of the World Church. He lectures throughout the world and is primarily concerned with the renewal of congregational worship at the grass roots level. Rev. Bell is a member of the Iona Community.
Singing the Unsung is a dynamic interactive resource that guides participants on a reflection of the Church’s song and offers practical techniques on how we can sing and pray together with integrity. The course runs in 30 minute segments including the introduction of 30 songs from around the globe. Session Themes are:
