Taize Prayer Service

Please join us for a Taizé prayer service at Holy Trinity

on Tuesday, May 12th at 7:00PM

10037 84 Ave NW

The Taizé Community was founded by Roger Schütz in the 1940s and is today best known for its songs that are sung by Christians all over the world. On Tuesday next week it will be the 100th birthday of Brother Roger. In remembrance of him, tens of thousands of people everywhere in the world will gather for prayer on May 12th, united in spirit with the brothers of Taizé.

You are invited to join this prayer and to experience the beauty of the simple Taizé songs and silent prayer. Come and feel the joy and the happiness that comes from singing and praying together in a Taizé prayer.

If you would like to practice some songs before, you may come already at 5.30 p.m. for an open choir rehearsal.

Also, if you would like to make the prayer even more beautiful by bringing and playing your solo instrument, please contact Christopher Pitrowsky at christopher[at]piotrowski-berlin[dot]de or in person at Trinity Lutheran Church. A solo instrument would be e.g. flute, recorder, violon, oboe, cello, clarinet, trumpet … just to mention some of the most common ones. You may also consider singing some solo voices if you feel confident.

Please bring a friend and join us as we worship together.
