The Rev. Dr. Paul Fromberg & Linnea Good here on July 20
On July 20th, 2014 at both 8:30 & 10:30 we are pleased to announce that two of the presenters from the National Worship Conference will be leading worship at Holy Trinity. As part of the Diocesan preaching festival, Weaving the Word: A Festival of Preaching we are pleased to announce that the Rev. Dr. Paul Fromberg will be with us as guest preacher and Linnea Good will be our musical leader.
The Rev. Dr. Paul Fromberg is the rector of St. Gregory of Nyssa Episcopal Church in San Francisco California. From 1987 – 2004 he served at Christ Church Cathedral and St. Andrew’s Church, Houston. Paul is an iconographer and multimedia artist. He has taught courses in liturgics and congregational development at Virginia Theological Seminary and the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, where he is currently a doctoral student. He is also a consultant with congregations across the country. He is an active participant in emergent church conversation groups and has been a speaker at the Wild Goose Festival and the Greenbelt Festival.
Linnea Good is a singer-songwriter who has been called “the contemporary musical voice of the emerging church in Canada”. She is known as one of Canada’s foremost performers of music of faith for all-age audiences. Praised by hymn-textwright Brian Wren and Bishop John Spong, Jes Wood, a youth worker, says “The voice of an angel…,” and Rev Gary Gaudin, from the United Church of Canada, describes her music as “spirit-led seamlessness.”
