What: Harpsichord Night – Harpsichord concert with Anders Muskens

When: November 6, 2015 at 8:00 p.m.

Where: Upper Hall, Holy Trinity Anglican Church 10037 84th Ave, Edmonton, ALBERTA

Experience the sounds of the French Baroque and Classical eras with Anders Muskens playing a programme on harpsichord of Rameau, Royer, Mozart, and Dussek. The concert begins at 8:10 pm with a short talk preceding at 8:00 pm.

ANDERS MUSKENS began piano studies at the age of 4. He completed his Royal Conservatory Piano Performer’s associateship at the age of 15 under the tutelage of Dr. Irina Konavalov. He received numerous awards and scholarships from the Edmonton Kiwanis Festival, received the Provost Music Festival Plaque at the Alberta Music Festival, and competed at the Canadian Music Competition National Final in 2008. In 2011, Anders founded the Edmonton Mozart Festival and has performed annually at a variety of events. In 2014, he founded the Alberta Mozart Society – a not-for-profit music society with the aim of promoting Western Art Music in Alberta – and currently sits as President. Also in 2014, he became involved as music director for Edmonton Regency Encounter’s costumed balls. Anders also plays modern and historical oboes.
