Recently, members of the Band videoed four original songs and uploaded them to YouTube. The songs were written over the past two or three years by Frank Burgess, the Band’s leader, and have been played at Sunday services. “Forty Days” is about Lent. “Forever on the Table” explores Holy Communion, incorporating a phrase from the Anglican liturgy. “God Rolls” is an extremely concise re-telling of the story of the Crucifixion, the Resurrection, and their significance to us. “The Kingdom of Heaven” is a modern interpretation of the famous Gospel assertion, “The kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
