Welcome letter from The Ven. Dr. Christopher A. Pappas, Rector

Welcome!

I wish to personally welcome you to Holy Trinity Anglican Church’s 120th anniversary as a parish, the 100th anniversary of our building, the 90th anniversary of our organ and the 100th anniversary of the Diocese of Edmonton. But more importantly I want to personally welcome you to our faith community. We are a parish full of diverse people with different gifts, coming from different walks of life and various ethnic backgrounds.

We welcome diversity in our parish and believe that everyone is created in the image of God. We are at different stages in our spiritual journeys and are united in our passion for the Gospel, our love of God and our desire to work with God in realizing a foretaste of God’s Kingdom here and now in our own context.

We are also passionate about the Arts and feel that they are a very important part of who we are and how we interact with God’s mission. The Arts are a way for the beauty of God to touch us and to reveal to us a bit more of that mystery that is God. There is much in the history of our parish that we can celebrate and even more importantly we are grounded in the many activities of our present and poised to move into the future where we will faithfully create new traditions and continue realizing God’s dream for us and our larger community.

I am glad you have joined us for our celebration and I hope that you might decide to join us and journey together as we seek to find meaning and strive to be true to God’s call to us.

Blessings to you!

The Venerable Dr. Christopher A. Pappas, Rector
